Process Division in SAS Group is a systems integration Division, formed to work in Process and Instrumentation Solutions,SCADA and radio communications systems, Pump Stations Systems.

Seeing the many problems associated with 'proprietary' systems, PAD elected to offer truly 'Open Architecture' systems, so clients would not be 'locked' in to only one source of service and supply.

PAD provides SCADA ( Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) systems and products to many marketplaces.  Our systems are Open Architecture, so our clients are not locked in to a specific manufacturer, product or supplier.

PAD's SCADA systems are designed using a DCS ( Distributed Control System) philosophy (including the radio system), where control logic resides in the field rather than on a central or host computer.  The DCS philosophy allows for both enhanced and more reliable operation, as the system is independent of a 'host' computer or 'polling master', whose failure could cause the entire system to fail.

PAD DCS systems use Intelligent RTUs / PLCs (Remote Terminal Units / Programmable Logic Controllers) products and are readily interfaced with a number of "Off-The-Shelf" SCADA software packages known as Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).  They may readily interface with other existing products that also use Open protocols (Modbus tm, Allen Bradley DF-1 tm, etc.).

PAD is a complete SCADA Supplier and Systems Integrator, providing not only SCADA systems and HMI software, but also instrumentation, installation, maintenance and support services.

PAD employs a number of personnel who are engaged in the design and implementation of SCADA systems, and also maintaining those systems.

This includes:

  • Design and Integration
  • Field Engineering and Evaluation Teams
  • Engineering and software design
  • Field Installation and Testing
  • Maintenance and Support

All PAD SCADA Systems go through a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), where the client is actually involved in testing their actual system, with simulated I/O and computer automated testing.
