- PAD SCADA systems are typically designed in a DCS ( Distributed Control System) format, where control logic resides in the field rather than on a host computer. The DCS format allows enhanced reliability, as the system is not depend upon a computer whose failure could cause the entire system to fail.
- Our products and systems are supported by a number of systems suppliers and integrators, so our clients are NOT locked into only one supplier.
- PAD takes responsibility for the entire SCADA system, eliminating finger pointing, and assuring clients that what was desired, is what was delivered. PAD stands behind the entire system.

UNIQUE APPROACH TO SCADA SYSTEM DESIGN: |

- PAD will take 'turn-key' responsibility for a project, not only vending and installing hardware and software, but also standing behind the entire system. This includes software, integration, the radio system and maintenance.
- PAD uses state-of-the-art technology to provide reliable radio based communications systems. We provide computer generated RF path profiles and complete engineering analysis which can be verified through actual field testing. The Global Positioning System's (GPS) satellite technology is used to determine precise site locations. Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) are used with computer software to generate path profiles and to calculate interference and path fade margins, along with the
production of 3D topographic maps.
- PAD uses a built-in communications protocol designed for Peer to Peer communications, Report By Exception, as well as Polling and Contention. It works equally well over radio, wireline, fiber optics, etc. The Modbus tm Open Architecture protocol is available for interconnectivity as well as other specialized protocols. We have a large number of protocols available, and our DCS RTUs / PLCs can be implemented with multiple
protocols running simultaneously.
- PAD provides SCADA systems that are truly Open Architecture, both in design and in hardware and software. Our goal is to not 'lock' or 'capture' a customer through hardware and software constraints. We keep our customers by providing better systems and services than can be found elsewhere.
